    Pick. Click. Give.

Friends of TBA Theatre, the Best Non-Profit Organization in Alaska and the Gold Standard in Family Fun, may now make donations via the Alaska Permanent Fund.

If you apply for your PFD online between January 1st and March 31st, 2010, you'll be given the option to view a list of eligible Alaskan non-profits. This comes up after you submit the basic PFD application information. TBA Theatre is listed in the Third Judicial District. Just select the organizations you wish to contribute to and enter the amounts you wish to give - anything from $25 up to your full dividend amount. Your gifts will be deducted from your PFD payment and passed on in full to the non-profits you support. We'd love it if you choose for the PFD to let us know who you are so that we may thank you in proper TBA Theatre fashion!

Click on the link above to be taken to the Alaska PFD website to start your online application. For more information about the Pick-Click-Give program click here.

Many thanks to the Rasmuson Foundation for providing the program start up costs; to the Foraker Group for notifying Alaskan non-profits of this great opportunity; and to the United Way for administering the donations.

    Ages 5-7
Use your voice, body and imagination to travel to a different magical land every week! In each session, students will learn theatre games and exercises specific to each theme. From spies to dinosaurs to the realm of music, this class is sure to keep our youngest artists stimulated throughout the week and ready to learn about the world of theatre.

    Ages 8 - 18
Explore improvisation as a training tool for stage actors, as we continue the work done in our fall sessions. Based on the work of Viola Spolin, the class focuses on using improv techniques to discover theatre/acting realities, bringing out the actor inside of you that you didn't know was there. This is an excellent class to hone your skills and help you stand out as an experienced artist. For students who took part in our earlier sessions: this is new material! Folks who did not take part I will NOT have to play catch-up, though. This is a SELF-STANDING course, and no previous experience is necessary!

In each session, students will rehearse a musical piece of their choosing and learn as a group how to improve every aspect of your performance, from hitting the high notes to acting the song. This class is ideal for anyone interested in auditioning for upcoming musicals around town, like TBA's "The Sound of Music."
Please note: All students are required to bring in a 1-2 minute song on sheet music to work on during the class. CD accompaniment is preferred but not required.
