In this exciting class filled with dynamic theatre games and exercises, students will gain exposure to the fundamental tools of acting, the parts of the stage, and elementary scene work aimed at building their skills and confidence on stage.

Whatever stage you are at in your acting journey, this class will help get you to the next level. We will be practicing text, turning imagination into instinct, and learning movement exercises. Each young actor will get a chance to discover their own strengths and expand upon them.

Taught by Valdez Theatre Conference Play Lab Coordinator Ryan Buen and critically acclaimed playwright P. Shane Mitchell, this four-session class will focus on new or in development works, with an eye towards submission for the Valdez Theatre Conference.
