Theatre Classes

Ages 5-7

Use your voice, body and imagination to bring to life some of your favorite stories! In each session, students will experience the world of acting and creation first hand, as they take on the adventures of the story of the week and work on a variety of projects to help bring them to life. This class is sure to keep our youngest artists stimulated and ready to learn about the world of theatre.


Dates: November 9-30

Times: Saturdays from 10:00-noon

Tuition: $100

This  Intro to Art class is led by scenic designer and arts educator, Rachael Androski, Students will use professional grade materials including charcoal, pastel, watercolor, ink, oil, acrylic, clay, metal and more.

Times: Saturdays from 10:00-noon

Tuition $120 (including materials)

Ages 8-12

Come learn the foundations of acting with Broadway World Anchorage's best actress, Jessica Faust. This class will feature material covering the basics of creating a character, utilizing the three key tools of the actor: the body, the voice, and imagination. A great class for your young person who may be brand new to the stage or those just considering it.


Dates: November 9-30

Times: Saturdays from 12:30pm-1:30pm

Art of the Short Play

Ages 16 and up

In this adult oriented class, led by Valdez Last Frontier Theatre Conference panelists P. Shane Mitchell and Ryan Buen, students will study the short play form, with specific focus on ten minute plays. There will be study in structure, format, dialogue, theatricality, plot, and other related dramaturgical issues as they specifically relate to ten minute plays. Students will have weekly writing assignments, working on their play. The goal will be to have at least one play ready for submission by the end of the class.

Times: Saturdays from 11:00am-noon

Tuition: $60

Ages 12-18

Billy Worthy, a current TBA fight choreographer and former 3 Barons Renaissance Faire choreographer, will put these kids through their paces in this class for beginners looking to get their start in stage combat or novice combatants looking to hone their skill set. This class covers the essential techniques of safe hand to hand fighting for the stage including falls, rolls, strikes, kicks and arm bars. Age exceptions to be made at the consent of instructor based off of previous experience.

Times: Saturdays from 12:30pm-1:30pm

Cost: $60 for all four weeks
