Actors Academy
July 2 - 29 (No Academy on July 4)

Monday - Friday ♦ 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM ♦ Ages 8-18
Performances are July 26, 27, 28 & 29

This is a comprehensive program designed to help young people develop theatre skills in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Each Academy member will receive training in specialized areas of the performing arts including Acting, Stage Combat, Voice and Dance. Academy actors will each be cast in a show with fully staged public performances at APU Grant Hall.

Advanced Acting Academy
June 26 - July 21 (No Academy on July 4)

Monday - Friday ♦ 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM ♦ Ages 12-18
Performances are July 19, 20 & 21

For the experienced and serious actor. Advanced Academy students will train in an intensive performance program that allows them to find their artistic voices and develop their creative talents to their fullest potential. Each student will be cast in a show with fully staged public performances at APU Grant Hall. All registrations must be approved by our education committee before they are fully confirmed.

Behind the Scenes Technical Theatre Academy
June 28 - July 31 (No Academy on July 4)
Monday - Friday ♦ 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM ♦ Ages 14-18

Academy Technicians have the opportunity to train and work alongside theatre professionals from around the country in every area of technical theatre. This elite team will also be given the responsibility of running lights, sound and technical aspects for Advanced Academy and Actors Academy productions under the guidance of a professional Stage Manager.

Academy Intensive - Comedy Improv
July 31 - August 11
Monday - Friday ♦ 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM ♦ Ages 8-18

Learn all the joys of acting without a script! This intensive will teach the students a wide range of comedy improv games, such as those featured on the hit show "Who's Line is it Anyway?". Led by Comic Maestro Wayne Mitchell, this intensive is sure to be a run-around, laugh-a-minute good time.

Academy Intensive - Musical Theatre Magic
July 31 - August 11
Monday - Friday ♦ 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM ♦ Ages 8-18

It's back! Our extremely popular Musical Theatre Intensive, once again directed by Anchorage's most critically acclaimed musical theatre director - Erin Dagon Mitchell. A full week of singing, dancing and acting! Culminating in two Weekend Showcases, a special performance onstage to show off your skills.

Academy Jr. Storybook Theatre
July 3-28
Tuesday - Thursday ♦ 4:00 PM - 5:15 PM ♦ Ages 5-7

The best of fun for the littlest TBA kids! This class is the perfect introduction to theatre. By learning about the voice, body and imagination, this class empowers kids with self-expression and self-confidence all the while having a great time with songs, stories and puppets.
